"The Harvard seismology group has added back-projection results of the April 11th Mw 8.6 and Mw 8.2 Northern Sumatra earthquakes to the website referenced below. The imaged energy release for the Mw 8.6 event is incredibly complex, with highest amplitude energy release near the epicentre followed by a second low amplitude rupture that is clearly separated from the first, and has a propagation distance of nearly 250 km. This complex rupture agrees very well with the early aftershock distribution." Eric Kiser. Harvard University
